When we update customer's equipment, many times the retired equipment is donated to a worthy cause. 

What does Your Techs, Inc. do with donated equipment?

 

Our goal is to get the equipment into the hands of those that can most benefit from it.

How does that happen?

Your Techs, Inc. gladly donates its time and efforts to clean up and restore all donated equipment.  Just because the equipment has been retired and donated doesn't mean it has to be less reliable.  Your Techs, Inc. works hard to get all donated equipment into tip-top shape to get it ready for donation.

Non profit organizations helping our community then notify us of a designated recipient, to whom we then pass on the newly refurbished equipment.  Recipients are not designated by Your Techs, Inc.  We simply facilitate the process of getting the technology into the hands of those who can most benefit from it.

What happens to equipment that hasn't found its way to a recipient or recipient cause?

If the equipment for some reason or another hasn't found its way to a worthy cause typically it's because the equipment is a little bit older.  In this case our first step is to try and liquidate the equipment and donate the funds to a worthy cause.  As always, that can be a cause of either your choosing or ours, that's up to you.

What if equipment is too old, even to liquidate?

In the case that equipment may be too old, even to liquidate, the equipment is then disassembled, recycled, and when necessary any remaining parts properly disposed of.  After recycling the proceeds are then donated to a worthy cause of either your choosing or ours, that's up to you.

If you have equipment you'd like donate please contact us via phone.  We will gladly provide the name and phone number of the contact person for the non profit organization that is currently taking donations so that you can benefit from any applicable tax deduction for either you or your organization.
